Main Article Content
Abstract
Email marketing has emerged as an important digital communication tool for businesses seeking to strengthen customer relationships and improve retention outcomes. In the real estate sector, where customer decisions are highly involvement-based and purchase cycles are relatively long, maintaining regular and meaningful communication with clients is essential. The present study examines the effectiveness of email marketing in enhancing customer retention in the real estate industry.
The study is analytical and descriptive in nature and is based on primary data collected from 125 respondents, including property buyers, investors, potential buyers, and existing clients from Delhi NCR. A structured questionnaire was used to gather responses related to email content, personalization, communication frequency, promotional communication, and customer retention behavior. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, reliability analysis, and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) were used for data analysis.
The findings revealed that email marketing significantly influences customer engagement and retention in the real estate sector. Exploratory Factor Analysis identified three major factors affecting email marketing effectiveness, namely Email Content, Frequency, Promotional Communication, and dependent variable Customer Retention. The results indicate that customers respond positively to personalized and relevant email content, informative newsletters, appropriate email frequency, and promotional offers. Follow-up emails and regular communication were also found to strengthen customer trust, brand connection, revisit intention, and long-term loyalty.
The study concludes that email marketing remains an effective and cost-efficient strategy for customer relationship management in the real estate industry. Firms that focus on personalized communication, relevant information sharing, and relationship-oriented email campaigns are more likely to improve customer retention and gain long-term competitive advantage.
