Abstract

This paper makes an effort to explore the concept of Childhood innocence in The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It is concerned with the complexities, born out of life's difficult situation. It contemplates the sense of wonder to the joy of delight in the little things in life and in the natural environment. This paper intends to analyse and validate the inner struggle of children often abandoned in the world surrounded by adults. In this paper, not only is their lost state mentioned, but also the endless hope in suffering is explained
